The Close is a substantial Cotswolds town house, the majority of which was built over 300 years ago, with some Victorian rooms at the back of the house added in the 1860s. For some considerable periods of time, The Close was the doctors' surgery. Small reminders of the doctors remain, for example the 'Day and Night' front door bell, and the doctors' bell box, which is now in the kitchen (formerly the waiting room).

Guests are welcomed into the entrance hall, which is a spacious square room, with elegant cornice and period details. You are invited to have tea in the drawing room which you can enjoy in relaxed style, sinking back into the capacious sofas (or in the summer months, tea is often served in the garden).

The Georgian polished oak staircase sweeps up to the bedrooms, which are all on the first floor.
